Unlucky Umbrella

I explored urban legends through my pieces during junior year. In this piece, I investigated the superstition that when you open a umbrella inside, you get bad luck. People think this belief was first contrived in Ancient Egypt, where opening parasols indoors was seen as disrespectful to the Amun-Ra. The eye symbol on the far right of the piece is associated with Amun-Ra's power.
