Ballad of Weird Dog - Louie Zong - Indie Song
What first appears as a whimsical dog-themed song, quickly reveals itself as a pointed social commentary on the overbreeding of our pups, and the horrific consequences of those kinds of practices. The song feels pleasantly like the early 2000s and carries a deeply impactful message wrapped in what I can only describe as an incredibly catchy melody and rather imperfect drawings. It's not until you look into the lyrics that the horror of this true story reveals itself. Incredibly subtle and impactful in a way that is simply genius.

Buddy - Casper Kelly - Comedy Horror Film
Before I had seen “Buddy,” I assumed it would be a horror heavy film, especially when looking at the reviews. Many had said they had to leave the theater or even went as far as to say they threw up while watching. After watching, I can confidently say the movie “Buddy” leans much closer to comedy than to horror. I liked many of the comedy aspects of it, but because of my previous notions of the movie I wasn’t as impressed as I had hoped. Overall, I liked the movie but wished it had played more into the horror aspect.

All Saint Street - Lingzi - Slice of Life Comedy
“All Saint Street” is a slice of life comedy DongHua (Chinese animation), where Halloween classic monsters and mystical creatures, such as werewolves and vampires live integrated in modern human society. The show follows the main character NiNi, who is surprisingly innocent and kind despite being the demon king.
