This piece is one page out of a collaborative zine meant to reflect Florida’s raw, genuine scene and people. This page depicts specific scents, which I, personally, associate with Florida. My intention is to acknowledge intimate experiences that are actually quite relatable to a community of people, despite the privacy of the moments.

In this piece, I wanted to showcase Palm Beach through my lens. My initial inspiration came from a family tradition. Almost every Sunday, we go to the beach to see the sunrise, and I think it’s so beautiful when the sky changes colors. I wanted to capture that relaxed yet playful vibe that makes Palm Beach so special. The island makes everything feel so effortlessly chic, and I wanted to reflect that in my painting through the use of surrealism.
