Depths Unseen
I took this photograph at the Shedd Aquarium while on a trip to Chicago, where I was able to get a great look at the underwater beluga whale exhibit. The belugas would pass by the glass window for onlookers to observe, and I couldn't help but think it was so beautiful that it had to be photographed. When the photo came out, it looked as if it were taken deep underwater, and I really wanted to push that idea of depth. I came up with the title "Depths Unseen" and adjusted the image in Photoshop to reflect darker depths with emphasis on light pouring into the abyss.
