Bruno

This piece was done in honor of my chihuahua, Bruno. He hasn’t yet passed away, but when I created this piece, he had just been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. So, as I was looking through all my photos and memories of him, trying to forget that he wouldn’t have much time left with us, I came upon this photo: him, gazing out the car window, completely free and at peace with life. And that’s what I used as a reference for this piece. I repainted the photo in his honor, so I have a special, completely unique physical copy I can keep after he’s gone.
